Thanks so much to my students for helping with the Help For Haiti Project! I appreciate you!

For my students who are Partners in Education members through Gist Piano Center, this sounds like a blast! Please let me know if you would like to participate.
March 26: Hollywood Nights
“Come on and try your luck, you could be Donald Duck! Hooray for Hollywood!” That’s right, Gist Piano Center will be rolling out the red carpet for it’s first ever Hollywood Nights recital. Hollywood Nights is a movie themed recital that is the second in a series of theme recitals designed by Gist to encourage greater participation in the Arts. If you thought Halloweekend was “spooktaculer,” then you are going to love Hollywood Nights! Students will be playing their favorite “movie themed piece” and are highly encouraged to dress as their favorite actor/actress or as if they were attending a Hollywood Movie Premier! All PIE teachers and students should make plans for an evening of live music, fresh popcorn, candy, soda and fun movie games.
Parents and Students:
Please don't forget that the Junior Festival will be on March 13th, 2010 at Bardstown Baptist Church, in Bardstown, KY. Performance times will be announced in the next few weeks. The fee is $15 per student/event and the deadline to register is January 20th. Quality practice time is very important since this is a graded event.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.
Blessings,
Mrs. Angela
Congrats to Christian F. for being this month's winner of an Alfred Lesson Book. There will be more fun drawings coming next month!
Congrats to all of my students who participated in the Christmas Recitals on December 5th at Gist Piano Center. You all did so well and you should be very pleased with your accomplishments this year.
The last day of lessons for 2009 will be December 18th and we will start back on Monday, January 4th.
Thank you all so much for a great year. I feel truly blessed to have such wonderful students and families in my life. Have a wonderful and safe Christmas!
